Mag. Mag. Manfred Hackl
Manfred Hackl joined EC3 as a manager for international projects and networks in the year 2001, where he has been involved in several e-tourism projects, including Harmonise (a ontology-based harmonisation technology for easy data exchange in tourism), coordinated business planning projects, wrote the concept of IMPACTS (Interoperable multimedia platform for actors in the tourism sector), the tender for the first release of VisitEurope.com and he was project manager for the renewal of VisitFinland.com.
He graduated from a technical high-school and completed his studies in business administration (MBA) at the Vienna University for Economics and Business Administration as well as Psychology (MPh) at the University of Vienna. Manfred Hackl has professional experience as a trainer for business software and as a lecturer for E-Business at the university of Vienna. He also founded [x+o] before, a company specialized in project management software.
His focus is on requirements management for ICT projects and service definition, with some focus on data interoperability and social media. He has been an invited speaker at several national and international conferences and events and he has been part of the four-headed expert team to write a workshop agreement for CEN (European Committee for Standardization) on data and process interoperability for e-tourism in Europe.
